Man Charged With Injuring Two Mount Pleasant Cops In Street Racing Incident

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – A Bronx man has been charged with injuring two Mount Pleasant police officers who tried to stop him during a drag race in November 2015, according to a report on News12.

Mount Pleasant Police have charged Nathan Irizarry with aggravated assault.

Nathan Irizarry, 38, Is being charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident on Route 117 in the town, the News12 report said.

Police said the officers suffered broken bones and cuts after being dragged by Irizarry’s car, the News12 story said.
