Mount Pleasant Police Search For Boy Missing Since Monday

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Mount Pleasant Police Department is searching for a missing male autistic resident of the Goldsmith Center located on the grounds of Hawthorne Cedar Knolls.

The boy, whose age was not disclosed, has been missing since Monday, Aug. 1, according to police. It should be noted he does not get along well with strangers and could be violent, police said.

The boy has limited communications skills but answers to the name Bruce, police said, noting he was last seen wearing a long sleeve navy blue and gray hoodie, black pants and black and gray sneakers and may have headed into to woods behind the campus near Sutton Park and the dead end area of Rolling Hills Road.

A check of the area by a NYSP bloodhound and a helicopter from WCPD yielded no results.
