A man entered the bank at around 3:40 p.m., Monday and passed a note to a teller asking for money with no dye packs, Police Chief Louis Alagno said Tuesday. The teller did not comply and the man left without any money.

Alagno said Mount Pleasant Police, assisted by Pleasantville, North Castle, County and State Police, searched for the man, who is described as white in his 30s, 5'6" with eyeglasses and wearing a dark blue cap.

The State Police helicopter was utilized in the search.

Alagno said video evidence showed the man getting into a red Chevy Cobalt. He was last seen in the vicinity of the Marble Avenue exit on the Saw Mill River Parkway.

Mount Pleasant residents said they heard helicopters overhead Monday afternoon.

Alagno is asking anyone with information to call Mount Pleasant Police at 769-1941 and ask for a detective.
