Mount Pleasant Police Chief Reportedly In Suicidal State

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Mount Pleasant Police Chief Brian Fanelli was taken to Putnam Hospital after police found him in a reported suicidal state after being charged with possession of child pornography on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to Patch.com.

Fanelli was taken to the hospital in a squad car after he posted $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Wednesday, Feb. 19, Patch.com reported.

If convicted, Fanelli could face up to 10 years in prison, Patch.com said.
