A Scarsdale resident received an email threatening his life last week, prompting a police investigation.
The Chase Road man reported to police on Monday, Dec. 11 that he had received a threatening email through his employer’s email service, which is located in Scarsdale.
In the email, police said that the text read that the complainant needed to send Bitcoins in return for information about the person who ordered his killing. Police said that based on the nature of the email, the man felt concerned enough for his safety that he contacted his managing partner and to notify the department.
A report was filed and police are investigating the email.
