Two-Alarm House Fire Breaks Out In Westchester

Flames and smoke could be seen billowing from the roof of a home on Monday morning as crews battled a two-alarm fire that broke out in Westchester.

All hands were on deck shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, as firefighters were called to a home on Fletcher Avenue in Mount Vernon, near Overlook Street.

Crews from Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and other area fire departments were on hand to assist in knocking down the flames in the multi-story home.

No injuries were initially reported and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
