Platt Tech High School Evacuated For Second Day In A Row After Threat

MILFORD, Conn. — Platt Technical High School in Milford was evacuated again Friday because of an unspecified threat, state police told the Connecticut Post.

State Police canine units were heading to the state vocational high school on Orange Avenue after all students were moved out of the building and to a soccer field across the street on Friday, the Post said. 

This is the second incident in two days at the regional high school. On Thursday, the entire school was evacuated and students sent home early because of a bomb threat. 

Platt Tech, located in Milford, is a regional high school operated by the state. In addition to Milford, it serves students in Fairfield County from Fairfield, Bridgeport, Shelton, Stratford and Trumbull. It also serves students from Bethany, Orange, Woodbridge, West Haven, New Haven, North Haven, East Haven, Branford, Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Oxford.
