All the students and staff members dressed in the festive colors to honor Patriot Day Sept. 11. Kindergarten wore red, first grade wore white and second grade donned blue.

The students created a human flag to "show their patriotism and to honor the brave men and women who keep our country safe," the district told The Daily Voice.

This is the second year that the school has done this and is planning to make it a yearly event.
