Teams of students and staff carved pumpkins, ate Halloween treats and discussed school and hobbies throughout the afternoon gathering. The pumpkins were painted, lit from within using cell phone flashlights and judged by Assistant Principal Kevin McLeod.

Art teacher Ivana Masic and her student-teammate painted a “Franken-pumpkin." Instructor Cayne Letizia and his student-teammate carved a "VMS Partners" pumpkin, and teacher Sceve D'Ascoli's team carved an Apple symbol in theirs.

The pumpkin of teacher Paul Silano's team had a trail of pumpkin seeds coming from its mouth.
