Adam Brown, interim principal, together with Mr. Stanley Steele, principal on special assignment, called the names of the graduates, and several students spoke. Superintendent Marilyn Terranova assisted with the presentations.

The celebration included the presentation of scholarship, leadership and Foundation awards.

The ceremony closed with remarks from Terranova that encouraged the graduates to continue to learn about the world around them, to be aware of current events and social issues, and to use their skills and experience to deal with the complex issues that will face the world in the coming decades.

“Technology has brought the injustices of the world to your doorstep,” she said, “and I know you are prepared to be engaged as ethical advocates of liberty for all. We will see the Class of 2016 do great things. We are counting on you.”
