Valhalla HS 'Godspell' Students Take Six Theater Award Nominations

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Five Valhalla High School students who participated in the spring musical "Godspell" were nominated for six Metropolitan Youth Theater Awards.

Students received three Metro nominations for their performances, and three technical merit nominations. One student received two nominations (one for performance and the other for technical).

Performances were March 18 and 19.

The nominations are as follows:

Jessica Beitscher: Vocal Performance Female

Jared Lombardi: Acting Performance

Male Kyra Hickey: Featured Ensemble Member

Chloe Oshanani: Student Director (technical merit)

Kyra Hickey: Student Choreographer (technical merit)

Anthony Starvaggi: Student Stage Manager (technical merit)

The Metro Awards highlight high school students' talents during the spring musical season, and honor their hard work.

The awards will be given in a June 6 ceremony at Archbishop Stepinac High School.
