Valhalla School District Honors 4 Retirees For Years Of 'Loyal Service'

VALHALLA, N.Y. –The Valhalla Union Free School District has honored four recently retired district employees.

The staff members, who each retired at the end of the 2015-2016 academic year, boast a combined tenure of 83 years in the district.

They are:

  • Ada Jimenez-Parker, principal at the Virginia Road School, who ends her career in the district after 22 years;
  • Charlene Bosco, a math teacher at Valhalla High School, who ends her career in the district after 14 years;
  • Mona Voelkel, a reading specialist at the Kensico School, who ends her career in the district after 19 years; and
  • John Donato, the district’s maintenance foreman, who ends his career after 28 years.
