National Junior Honor Society members took turns being stationed at the school's front entrance, selling treats to their classmates. The bake sale ran in conjunction with the food drives held at Valhalla Middle/High School.

All money and food donations were given to the Food Bank of Westchester, which is in nearby Elmsford. The food bank for Westchester's mission is to lead, engage and educate the Westchester community in creating a hunger-free environment.

Over the past 25 years, it has provided food to the 200,000 county residents who are hungry or food insecure.
