On Sept. 19, the Kensico schoolyard played host to many families who attended the Valhalla School District's annual picnic.
The event's goal was to encourage community members to connect at the beginning of the school year while having a relaxing time with friends and fellow locals.
During the afternoon, parents chatted and played games with their children.
Other youngsters used the jungle gym's slide, swings, pole and monkey bars.
Some played tag, football and soccer in the lower lot as others enjoyed a game of bingo or helped sell their school's spirit wear.
