Westlake Middle School Students Create Scary Science Experiments

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Westlake Middle School students displayed their three-dimensional topographical maps of invented places such as Scaredy Cat Island, Cauldron Cove, and Witch Hat Wasteland on the day before Halloween. The students also had to present two-dimensional contour maps and tourist brochures.

Earth science teachers Miquel Cohn and Lawrence McIntyre were pleased with their students’ enthusiasm and proficiency. The maps and artwork are on display in the main hallway’s art case.
