VALHALLA, N.Y. – Before the 2015-16 academic year began in the Valhalla Union Free School District Sept. 2, the boys soccer team was already on the field from Friday, Aug. 28 to Sunday, Aug. 30, preparing for a successful season.
Led by Coach Sandro Prosperino, the team traveled to various locations for scrimmages and other learning experiences.
They played against Dover High School and Oneonta High School, winning both matches by a score of 5-2.
Throughout the weekend, the team ate at Brooks' House of BBQ, took their annual team photo on the Brooks' train, and played bowling, mini-golf and laser tag. They toured the University of Albany campus, and talked about soccer with the university's assistant soccer coach. The team topped the weekend off by watching the Albany vs. University of Rhode Island.
