Westlake High Kicks Off Wildcat Homecoming Week In Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Homecoming Week at Westlake High School kicked off Tuesday with a girls' swim meet and culminates Saturday night with a football game against Briarcliff/Hamilton.

The Wildcats girls' varsity swimming team took on Sleepy Hollow, where a Senior Day tribute also was planned. 

On Wednesday, the girls' varsity tennis team plays at Edgemont, and the girls' varsity soccer team hosts Pleasantville. 

On Thursday, the boys' soccer team plays Briarcliff at home. Hallway decorating for all classes begins at 5 p.m., and a pep rally caps things off at 7 p.m. 

Friday brings varsity and JV volleyball games against Valhalla at home, plus back-to-back soccer games at home under the lights. The girls' varsity team takes on Croton-Harmon at 6 p.m., preceded by a Senior Day tribute at 5:45 p.m. Then the varsity boys play Scarsdale at 8, with a Senior Day tribute at 7:45. 

Saturday begins with a home JV football game against Ardsley at 9:30 a.m. on the main field. The JV boys' soccer team plays Valhalla at 11 a.m. on the lower field. 

The homecoming motorcade begins at Columbus Elementary School at 5:30 p.m., arriving at Westlake between 5:45 and 6 p.m.

The varsity football teams takes on Briarcliff/Hamilton 6:30 p.m., preceded by a Senior Day tribute at 6:15 p.m.

Varsity cheerleading begins at 6:30 p.m., with a Senior Day tribute at 6:10 p.m.

Halftime will feature a fireworks show.
