Forty-five convoys are scheduled to travel in the area between May 15 and the end of the year, with another 45 return convoys planned.

The transports will be escorted by the New York State Police and will occur between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Troopers will temporarily stop traffic where required along the route, which involves Riverside Avenue, Third Avenue, Route 151, Route 4, Route 20 in Rensselaer County, Route 20, Route 22, County Route 7A and Route 22 in Columbia County and Route 22 in Dutchess County.

Officials said that motorists should expect slow and stopped traffic upon encountering the transport as it proceeds along the route.
