BEACON, N.Y. -- John J. Vitek Jr., of Beacon, died Nov. 28. He was 86.
She was the son of John and Elizabeth Vitek, born Sept. 3, 1930.
He attended and graduated from St. Joachim Elementary School in Beacon and St. Patrick’s High School in Newburgh in 1948. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Korean War.

Domenica Scanzo, 86, Of Fairview
FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- Domenica Scanzo, of Fairview, died Nov. 28. She was 86.
She was born May 15, 1930, in Ceramida, provincia Reggio Calabria, Italy.
In 1974, she sacrificed the safety of her land and her family and came to this country with her 7-year-old daughter. As a single mom, she strived to give her daughter and herself a better life. She was caregiver to her brother Carmine Maceri, who suffered and died from Alzheimer disease. Before retiring, she worked as a seamstress in West New York, N.J. She also was a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — April M. Scrivani, of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, Nov. 28. She was 70.She was born April 30, 1946, in Sharon, Conn., to the late Russell O'Dell and Alice F. Bailey O'Dell.
She worked in retail most of her life. She enjoyed working with people. Prior to her recent employment as a cashier at Walmart in Fishkill for 9½ years, she loved helping shoppers design their homes at Montgomery Ward. She enjoyed spending time with her family for family get-togethers, parties and barbecuing by a pool. She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

SUFFERN, N.Y. — Antonio Russo, of Suffern, died Nov. 29. She was 93. He was born Nov. 13, 1923, in New York City, to Joseph and Philomena Russo.
He was retired from the Ramapo Central School District.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Russo; two children, Gino Russo, and Phyllis Miceli and her husband Joseph; three grandchildren, Christina, Jennifer and Joseph; and five great-grandchildren, Giavanna, Jerry, Anthony, Avery and Lilly.

LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Rita D. Montford, of Lyndhurst, died Tuesday, Nov. 29. She was 95.
She is survived by children, Kathleen Blake and Barbara Gallo and her husband Frank; sisters Adell Benkert and Lucille Luciano; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; and son, Dean.

FORT LEE, N.J. — Rose "Rosalie" Tatulli, formerly of Fort Lee, died Nov. 25. She was 74.She was born Jan. 21, 1942, in Jersey City, to Anthony and Jeanette Verdina and grew up in North Bergen. She was a longtime resident of Fort Lee, before moving to North Windham, Conn. earlier this year.
